Hi everyone at Springer rescue I just thought it was about time I updated you on our wonderful rescue dog "Rex" which we re-homed about 10 weeks ago.
Rex has turned out to be a fantastic member of our family, he made himself at home from day one and it is a real pleasure to have been given an opportunity to not only make him a very happy dog but to also for him to bring the bounce and excitement only a springer can give into our home.
Whoever gave Rex up doesn't know what a clever, intelligent, loyal and loving dog they parted with but Rex and our family are the lucky ones.

I would like to thank all the rescue staff for making our adoption of Rex possible and please keep up the good work, how anyone can part with such wonderful dogs I don't know but as long as there are people willing to give them a loving home they at least have a chance.

regards

Clint

Hi there i spoke too you yesterday with regards to rehoming one of your dogs, myself and my partner are in our forties and have two grown up children we owned a springer bitch called meg up until last october when unfortunately she took ill and had to be put to sleep. we feel now is the right time for us to have a dog or dogs again and would prefer to rehome one as opposed to getting a pup. we live in a small village near to Durham we have a large enclosed garden which is secure and we both enjoy walking and spending time at the coast. my parents currently have a two year old springer so ideally we would like a dog that is social towards other dogs.we arte both self employed so the dog would not be left alone. i hope you can help us in our search and we are more than prepared to take two if you have a pair you didn want splitting up we would like it to be between two and four but will consider any many thanks for your time

Keep up the good work.
I would love to give Shanky a home, he reminds me of our springer when I was little. I can't help but keep checking on him.
But we had to tearfully part with our own dog last year (not a springer) due to his unbelievable excessive daily moulting problems which made our toddler wheezy etc. Think it was him not all dogs. A carrier bag of hair every other day when brushing!
Maybe one day we could foster?
A house is not the same without the sound of those four feet. : ) big sigh!

hi there

I look at your site quite often and wonder whether you would consider me suitable to have a rescue dog from you at some point in the future. I have 2 springers at the moment aged 14 months and 15 months, however in a year or so i'd love another one. I dont want a puppy as i hear too often about so many people who get springers and then cant offer the care they need. I work full time but at the moment my daughter is out of work and looks after them while i work, prior to this they were in day creche. At weekends we got for walks for several hours to the beach or more likely the forest!
I will be workin a 4 day week from this year so I have more time with my dogs lol!

thanks
michelle

Barbara

You rehomed Vince with us on Monday, thank you so much, so far so good, he is a delight just as you said he would be. It's hard to believe, but we've not had a moments trouble with him since he arrived and we're totally smitten.

Andrea, just to reassure you and your family, your dog has come to a really good home and he settling in well. We both work part time and therefore can give him lots of attention and exercise. He seems a bright dog, is well trained and a credit to you. Don't worry, he will be well looked after, loved and cherished.

Best wishes

Dolores

Dear Barbara

Making the decision to put Vince up for rehoming was the single most difficult thing I have ever had to do. He is such a beautiful, wonderful dog and whoever becomes his next family are extremely lucky to have found him. It's our greatest regret that we have not been able to give him the time he deserved and it's because we love him we have let him go to someone who can.

I want to thank you and your husband for making what's been a horrendous few days less difficult for me, my husband and our children. It would be easy to stand in judgement of our decision but you gave us the time to say goodbye and reassure us we were really doing what was best for Vincey.

Love him and take care of him - our home is very empty tonight.

Thank you

Andrea (kiss for Vince)
