Hi,
Noticed you website today and enjoyed the tips on common ailments - yes springers due get ear problems!! We have a lovely girl, liver and white who just loves her country walks in fields and especially enjoys jumping through the bracken. They are just lovely dogs and very loving and gentle souls too. We think they make the ideal active family pet.

Hi
I am the proud owner of a beautiful 8 year old springer bitch - Gertie. She has recently been diagnosed with a build up of copper in her liver, she has been very poorly and will be on drugs for the rest of her life - but is thankfully still with us. Have any other springer owners come across this problem?

Don't know if I can get a doggie, but sure would like to. My husband says "NO!" but when he's with our daughter and her Springer, Monty - Mr. Montgomery, he's a softy. We've had Springers all our life and lost our two loves, Bella and Buck, within 6 months of each other. Since then we haven't had the nerve to get another one. We travel a LOT but could bring him/her with us. Would want a well-trained, kitty-cat & kid-loving one. Black is what we had but either black or liver is OK. We would like one that is trained, well-behaved, likes to go on walks with us, likes kitty-cats and 3-10-year-olds. He/she would be lavished with LOVE!

Hi Wendy, Glynn and all at Springer Rescue,
Bout time we got our mum to put a paw to the computer etc. Well its been a while and Me (Rafles doggie of the year 2004) and Penny have just come back from the horse show at the weekend and got muddy and wet so we had to have a bath! Just come back from wales again on hol, second one this year, we were up in northumberland at easter lovely walkies on the beach and swims etc. Our Penny has just celebrated her 12th birthday and I will be 10 in October it doesn't seem 6 years since we came to live here. We are off again on our travels to Scotland in july expect will have to have the venison sausage and black puddy for breakfast, plenty of walkies to burn the calories off, and be on our best behaviour in the hotel. We do hope all you guys are well etc. Are you doing the Peover Game Fair this year? as we could be available for duty.
love and best wishes
Raffles and Penny, Mick and Jenny

Glyn (and Wendy...though I didn't get to speak to you!)
Picked up my new partner in crime (name withheld to protect the innocent!) from Fiona and Tom on Sunday and he has already settled in a treat. Thank you for putting me together with him and thanks for everything that you're all doing. I sent Tom a couple of pics and I imagine he will forward them to you but if not let me know and I will send some direct if you want any?
Kind regards.
George

Dont let your springer suffer
Hello I have just had my springer Tilly put to sleep she was only 8 years old she had lymphoma I had to take her on Friday to my vet I am so heart broken. I held her in my arms my vet was so kind and gental with her as she went to sleep. I am still thinking should I have waited a little longer she was still walking and running a little, eating sleeping licking my face in bed.
The steriods made her wee and whoopsie but never mind those extra weeks were so good no diet plenty of treats and more love and cuddles and sleeping on the bed then any springer could have asked for. As I look towards my local dog walking field I see lots of owners with their dogs some young pups and some very old dogs all running and playing and well I can only hope Tilly is doing the same in dog heaven
I miss her so much it hurts but it's now Sunday and the pain is a little less
