My partner has left me and has left me with a 9 year old springer. The problem I have is I cant afford to keep her and want to know what I have to do. She is fine with dogs, cats and kids. she is an ex shooting dog who needs lots of exercise. I was told to contact you by the dogs trust. I have asked around friends and family and this is my last resort.

Hi I lost my Black and White Springer on Mothers Day this year, he was called Blue and though still sadly missed think I am ready now to re home another Springer. My husband and I know we will never replace him but we need to bridge the gap. We have 4 grand daughters, 7 and under who visit regular . Look forward to here from you

Ive been looking at your site on a daily basis for the past couple of weeks to see all the springers. We lost Poppy, our english springer at the end of January. She had a massive stroke last july and pulled through with a lopsided walk as evidence of it-much to our amazement! A smaller stroke in november added to her stagger but she tried so hard to keep going it was a joy to have her still. She was so happy!
We had to make the hardest decision after a night of fits etc to end her suffering and we still grieve for her so much.Looking through the pictures on your site gives me a smile and I thank you. I wouldnt have any other breed-springers are just the best! Poppy maybe much missed but I am so grateful I had her in my life for all of her 14 3/4years.
Carry on your great work!
regards Isabel

HI - I've had a good look through your website and wonder if you could send me a link or full list of all the dogs of all ages that you have needing rehoming.
Much appreciated

hello my dog bruizer so hansome was the headline underneath some time ago he died aged nearrly 14 years of age through heart and lung trouble, we had to have him put to sleep at the royal vet college the beaumont animal hospital in march 2009............Bruizer was very naughty but funny you name it bruizer tried to eat it.. i have bruizers ashes in my cabinet, i also had a rescue
king charles spanial from 1996 to 2001 he had to be put to sleep due to very bad heart problems
that they could not cure............ both dogs loved each other both were very protectitive of us
i would like to rehome a young springer but my husband is blind cannot have a guide dog
as he is not quick on his feet and legs..both dogs were very funny, both boris and bruizer used to particiapate in the same naughtyness, when i asked who was the cheeky dog they both used to look at each other then us, to say i do not know , both boys are sadlymissed.........

Hello,
I walk a springer spaniel sometimes at an animals in distress centre which I love.I love dogs as they are so different in their charactoristics :) Its great you do an amazing job to rehome them and that is really what I wanted to say,I would home a dog but I live in a flat which isnt ideal really or suitable for a dog to live and be left for ages whilst I am out.
I am near a lovely beach and park at the moment too.Keep up your amazing work :)
Miss Katie Russell

Hi Glyn, Wendy, Everybody at SSR
All well up here in Scotland - Baggins and Buster are in fine form - both doing very well. Still enjoying their respective hobbies, playing ball, chasing crows, winding up the neighbours etc.
Baggy hasn't had so many aeroplanes to chase down the garden lately, but the Seakings have kept him going.
Keep up the good work! Will write soon, with some photos.
Sylvia, Baggy & Buster, xxx
